All visitors to Australia must have a valid visa. For many visitors this can be obtained online at the ETA website. Please contact us by e-mail if you require an invitation to attend the conference, to assist with your visa application. It is important that you apply for your visas well in advance (at least 2 - 3 months) of anticipated travel.

When requesting an invitation to attend the conference, please send the following information:

- Name (as in passport):
- Passport Number:
- Office or Home Address:
- Paper Title:
- Paper Number:

and fill in the Visa Information Sheet to facilitate the processing of your visa. Please send this information and the Excel sheet to Daniel Lai (email: d dot lai at ee dot unimelb dot edu dot au).

Travellers should note that Australia has very strict quarantine laws. It is forbidden to bring food, plant or animal products into Australia, and heavy fines apply for breaches. Baggage is checked upon arrivel. For more information about Australia's quarantine requirements visit the AQIS website.
