Visa Info

All visitors to Australia must have a valid visa. For many visitors this can be obtained online at the ETA website. Please contact us by e-mail if you require an invitation letter to attend the conference, to assist with your visa application. It is important that you apply for your visas well in advance of anticipated travel.

When requesting an invitation to attend the conference, please send the following information:

• Passport Number:
• Country of Passport:
• Gender (Male or Female):
• Office or Home Address:
• Paper Title:
• Paper Number (EDAS Number):
• Participant Type (Speaker, Attend, etc):

and fill in the Visa Information Sheet to facilitate the processing of your visa. Please send this information and the Excel sheet to issnip2010@issnip.org

Note that the person requesting the visa letter should be registered for the ISSNIP 2010 conference.

Participants should be aware of the health and character requirements for travel to Australia before they lodge their visa applications.

Travellers should note that Australia has very strict quarantine laws. It is forbidden to bring food, plant or animal products into Australia, and heavy fines apply for breaches. Baggage is checked upon arrival. For more information about Australia's quarantine requirements visit the AQIS website.
